Austin Parks Foundation Awards Grant for Improvements at Comal Park!

We are pleased to announce that the East Cesar Chavez Planning Team has been awarded a $7,631 grant from Austin Parks Foundation to improve Comal Park. Big thanks to all of you who completed the park survey several months ago and Habitat for Humanity for its letter of support. Soon you will see new trash cans, two dog poop stations, more park benches, an additional grill and United Way’s Born Learning Trail. This trail will offer activities in English and Spanish to help promote literacy, as well as add some vibrant colors to the sidewalks in the park. Volunteer opportunities to come!

Deep gratitude to Austin Parks Foundation for its commitment to the Austin community!
