New Land Use Committee Chair

Our new Land Use Committee Chair is non-profit representative Mark Rogers. Land Use committee meetings will continue to be held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM, but the location of the meetings has changed to the offices of The Guadalupe Neighborhood Development Corporation Offices,  813 East 8th Street on the ground floor of the La Vista de Guadalupe apartments. Reminder that at our next monthly meeting on

6:00 PM in the

Terrazas Library meeting room, the Leadership Team will be electing new officers and if applications are received for vacant sector seats, elections will also be held to fill those volunteer positions.

Please join us for our meetings, we are always looking for more volunteers to help us stay informed and aware of the rapid changes happening in our neighborhood.

If you are interested in volunteering for an open Sector Representative position or committee work, please contact any Leadership Team representative.

We will hold a Special Meeting on Monday 11/13/2017, at 6:00 PM, to discuss to large development projects being proposed in our neighborhood.

2. Habitat for Humanity’s proposed 85 foot mixed-use development for 4th Street.

Plaza Saltillo Changes

Several new development projects are being proposed for our neighborhood

that will require altering or rewriting the development rules

for the Plaza Saltillo Transit Oriented Development area (“Saltillo TOD”).

This area runs roughly from East 7th Street to East 4th Street,

and from I-35 to Chicon.

Developers are asking to build taller and denser projects.

How our community decides to grow will influence

the character and spirit of the neighborhood we call home.
