Unique Cooking Class for youth Kids' Pioneer Cooking Adventure This class is for children ages 8-12 and their grownups, who want to experiment with recipes our pioneering ancestors created in the 1800s. We will be cooking in the Dickinson kitchen, so class size is very small. The class will cook first, followed by lunch - eating the goodies that you learned to make! A tour of the Dickinson Museum will round out the day. Please choose one class from the options below.

Join KAB for a behind the scenes tour of the city’s Splash! exhibit including a visit to Eliza Springs, the endangered salamanders’ primary habitat. The Splash! exhibit offers a fun and exciting learning experience deep inside a simulated limestone cave. Multimedia displays and interactive exhibits demonstrate how the aquifer was formed and how it maintains its average daily flow of 32 million gallons of water at Barton Springs. The endangered Barton Springs salamander and other native aquatic species on display illustrate the diversity of life dependent on the water quality of local springs, creeks and rivers. Visitors can also investigate how their routine activities can impact local water quality while learning about water quality testing. Join hundreds of volunteers as they have a rewarding morning searching high and low for every last bit of trash and getting to know other lake enthusiasts. Each cleanup will end with a prize for the most unusual object found during the cleanup, and all volunteers will be invited to join events later in the day including an on-the-water race, party with live music, & a movie shown under the stars hosted by The Expedition School!
