    Food Bank/APH Home Food Delivery Program

    The Central Texas Food Bank, in partnership with the Austin Public Health Neighborhood Services Unit and Amazon, is providing a home delivery program for eligible individuals. Participants enrolled in the program will receive a monthly box of shelf stable groceries, delivered in a contactless method directly to their home (Thursday delivery slots currently available). All groceries and delivery are free of charge.

    This program is open to Travis County residents who are in need of food assistance, have barriers to attending other food distributions, and are at least one of the following:

    • Households with children (ages 0-18) or older adults (ages 60 or older)
    • Individuals with a disability, veterans, or active military members

    To find out if you are eligible and/or to enroll in the program, contact any of the Neighborhood Centers listed in the attached flyer.

    ECC Neighborhood Traffic Survey

    Do you have something to say about traffic in the East César Chávez Neighborhood? The ECC Neighborhood Plan Contact Team (ECCNPCT) is discussing traffic calming and safety improvements on our streets. Your input will help build community support to bring improvements to the streets we travel, walk and bike on. We will be discussing options for traffic calming and safety improvements for our neighborhood with the Austin Transportation Department (ATD) at our monthly meeting September 15, 2021. The ECCNPCT invites you to join the conversation and participate in a short survey to share your thoughts.

    The survey should take less than 10 minutes and is divided into two sections. The first section is specific to Comal and Waller Streets, two streets already being discussed at monthly meetings. The second section is directed at streets throughout the neighborhood:
