    Hip Hop Architecture Camp is back! The Hip Hop Architecture Camp is a free, intensive camp for middle school student using hip hop culture as a catalyst to introduce underrepresented communities to architecture and design. Participants will explore hip hop as a revolutionary approach to understanding, conceiving, and generating architecture for a just city. During the camp, youth will participate in an architectural design competition and a rap battle for awesome prizes. The camp will conclude with the production of a music video featuring all the participants and their Hip Hop Architecture design concepts. Learn more and register now!

    Field Day at Palm Park

    We invite your neighborhood to join us at Waller Creek Conservancy’s Field Day at Palm Park on May 12! (Flyer attached)

    As part of a community grant from St. David’s, WCC will host free, family-friendly Field Day on May 12 at Palm Park. Families can enjoy field day games for kids, raffle with great prizes, nourishing snacks, and more!

    The goal of this program is improving the community’s health and creating an opportunity to bring all of Austin outdoors for active and health-focused programs. WCC aims to demonstrate how parks play a vital role in the health of individuals while raising awareness of Waller Creek’s continual transformation.


    WHEN: Saturday, May 12th, 2018 (8:30am-12:30pm)



    Field Day will feature a dynamic program throughout the event, with demonstrations including:

    • 8:30 a.m. – Yoga Class by Yoga in Da Hood
    • 9:30 a.m. – Cooking Demonstration by Green Ninja Cooks
    • 10:30 a.m. – Step Performance by Campbell Elementary
    • 11:30 a.m. – Live Music by G’beda
