2011 East Cesar Chavez Holiday Party!

Another great holiday party has come and gone. It was encouraging
to see so many new people share in the holiday cheer. We had residents,
business owners, elected officials and other dignitaries joining in on the fun. Our
unofficial count was about 110 guests. This would not have been possible if not
for the generous donations from the businesses below. Please remember them in
2012 when you are choosing where to spend your dollars. May you enjoy a
    prosperous new year!

The next East Cesar Chavez Business Mixer has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 14th, 6:00PM at CTC Headquarters, 1102 East Cesar Chavez Street. There is a food trailer available and we are looking for donations for beer and wine. This is a family friendly event, so feel free to bring your kids. Up for discussion will be the application for an IBIZ District for a one mile stretch of East Cesar Chavez Street and the confirmation of your business contact information for our newly launched web site. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Economic Development Happy Hour a Huge Success!

In May, our Economic Development Committee hosted a happy hour meet-up for neighborhood business owners. The event brought together more than 25 business owners and employees who got to know one another and shared their experience doing business in our neighborhood. In addition to hearing feedback on what we as a neighborhood can do to better support our neighborhood businesses, it was great seeing business owners connect and discuss what they can do to support one another!

Our goal is to host a happy hour once per quarter. Our next meet up is scheduled for September, more details coming soon.
